James McGolrick
James McGolrick (born May 1, 1841 in Borrisokane , County Tipperary , Ireland , † January 23, 1918 in Duluth , Minnesota , USA ) was Bishop of Duluth .
Life
James McGolrick attended All Hallows College in Dublin . He received on 11 June 1867 the Bishop of Kerry , David Moriarty , the sacrament of Holy Orders . From 1868 to 1889, James McGolrick was pastor of the Immaculate Conception Parish .
On November 29, 1889, Pope Leo XIII appointed him . to the Bishop of Duluth. The Archbishop of Saint Paul , John Ireland , gave him on 27 December of the same year in the Cathedral of Saint Paul , the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Sioux Falls , Martin Marty OSB , and the Bishop Emeritus of Saint Paul, Thomas Langdon Grace OP .
