Francis Schewetta

Francis Schewetta (born August 29, 1919 in Île-de-Bréhat , † October 8, 2007 in Saint-Maurice , Val-de-Marne department ) was a French sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

At the 1948 Olympic Games in London he reached the quarter-finals. In the 4 x 400 meter relay , he won the silver medal behind the US team and in front of the relay from Sweden with the French team consisting of Jean Kerebel , Schewetta, Robert Chef d'Hôtel and Jacques Lunis .

At the European Athletics Championships in Brussels in 1950 , he came in fourth in the 4 x 400 meter relay with the French team.

At the French championships he was sixth in 1947, second in 1948, third in 1949 and fourth in 1950.

Francis Schewetta started for Stade Rennais .
