Francisca Prudencio

Francisca Prudencio (born in Hanover ) is a Chilean singer specializing in opera and concert (soprano).

Life

Francisca Prudencio was born in Hanover . She attended the German School in Santiago de Chile and studied singing with Mayling Konga at the Hanover University of Music and Theater until 2007 . She was then accepted into the solo class at the same university and passed her concert exam in October 2011.

Prudencio recorded two solo CDs: “No te duermas, niño” (“Don't sleep, child”, 2007) with international lullabies and “You are like a flower” (2011). She is also the soloist in the CD production "Glaubenslieder" (2009 with Rondeau ), which has been awarded the Echo Klassik Prize , with new cantatas for the church year and the first recording of the opera "Dido's Secret" by Andreas N. Tarkmann (2012 with Rondeau). She has made guest appearances at various opera houses such as the Hanover State Opera , the Braunschweig State Theater , the StadtOperSoest , as well as in Chile at the Teatro Municipal de Santiago and the Teatro del Lago in Frutillar . In addition, she often appears as a soloist in oratorios.

Her roles include the role of Pamina from Die Zauberflöte , Barbarina from Le nozze di Figaro , Adele from Die Fledermaus , Anne Frank in Grigori Frid's monooper "The Diary of Anne Frank" and the little sand and dew from Hansel and Gretel . She also sang the role of Linda in the world premiere of Dido's Secret by Andreas Tarkmann (Herrenhausen Gallery, Hanover) with the Hanover Girls' Choir . Most recently she was the soloist in the oratorio Elias ( Mendelssohn ) under the direction of Helmuth Rilling in the Philharmonie Krakau and soloist in Ein deutsches Requiem in the Tonhalle Zurich .

Honors

Prudencio won the special prize "Best chilean performer" ("Best national participant") at the 35th international opera competition "Dr. Luis Sigall" and was a finalist in the international Johannes Brahms competition in Pörtschach am Wörtersee and the Mozart competition in Wiesbaden.
