Irene Greven
Irene Greven , née Hagenguth (born January 29, 1927 , † January 30, 2015 ) was a German publisher and patron .
Greven worked for Greven Verlag since 1958 . After the death of her husband Sigurd Greven , who died in a plane accident in 1981, she took over the management of Greven Verlag as the main shareholder. In honor of her deceased husband, she founded the Sigurd Greven Foundation in 1996, the aim of which is to promote Cologne's cultural, art, music, legal and economic history in ancient, medieval and modern times as well as to support the Schnütgen Museum in Cologne .
She died in 2015 one day after her 88th birthday and was buried in the family grave in Cologne's Melaten cemetery (hall 54).
