Francisco José Pérez y Fernández-Golfín (born February 12, 1931 in Madrid , † February 24, 2004 in Getafe ) was Bishop of Getafe .

Life

Francisco José Pérez y Fernández-Golfin was ordained a priest on May 26, 1956 . On March 20, 1985, John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Madrid and titular bishop of Tigillava .

The Archbishop of Madrid , Ángel Suquía Goicoechea , donated him episcopal ordination on May 11th of the same year ; Co-consecrators were Cardinal Vicente Enrique y Tarancón , Senior Archbishop of Madrid , and Antonio Innocenti , Apostolic Nuncio in Spain .

As a motto , he chose Libentissime impendam et superimpemdar ipse pro animabus vestris . The Pope appointed him Bishop of Getafe on July 23, 1991.
