Francisco de Paula Díaz y Montes (born October 1, 1833 in San Luis Potosí , Mexico , † April 14, 1891 in San Isidro Mazatepec , Jalisco ) was Bishop of Colima .

Life

Francisco de Paula Díaz y Montes received the sacrament of priestly ordination on May 25, 1862 through the Archbishop of Guadalajara , Pedro Espinosa y Dávalos .

On May 27, 1889, Pope Leo XIII appointed him . to the Bishop of Colima . The Archbishop of Guadalajara, Pedro José de Jesús Loza y Pardavé , gave him on 25 August of the same year in the Cathedral Asunción de María Santísima in Guadalajara the episcopal ordination . The inauguration took place on November 6, 1889.

Francisco de Paula Díaz y Montes died on April 14, 1891 in San Isidro Mazatepec and was buried in the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe in Colima .
