Franck Gilard (born November 1, 1950 in Riaillé , Loire-Atlantique ) is a French politician . He has been a member of the National Assembly since 2002 .

Gilard completed his law degree with a master's and his political science degree with a diploma. After graduation, he worked as a parliamentary assistant for MP René Tomasini and Senator Alain Pluchet . At the same time he got into politics in 1983 as deputy mayor of the small community of La Roquette himself. This was followed in 1995 by his election as mayor of Les Andelys . In 1998 he was also elected to the General Council of the Eure department . In the parliamentary elections in 2002 he stood for the newly founded UMP in the fifth constituency of the Eure department and entered the National Assembly. He was re-elected in 2007 and 2012.
