Oschietzko (Polish: Osiecko ) is a village in Upper Silesia . Oschietzko is located in the rural community of Zembowitz (Zębowice) in Powiat Oleski (Rosenberg OS district) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship .

Geographical location
Oschietzko is four kilometers northeast of the Zembowitz municipality , eleven kilometers south of the district town of Olesno (Rosenberg OS) and 35 kilometers east of the voivodeship capital Opole .

history
In 1783 the place, which was then written as Osßiezko and belonged to Herr von Ziemietzky, had a manorial farm, four farmers, eight gardeners and 119 residents. In 1865 the place was parish to Zembowitz and schooled to Frei Kadlub .
In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 65 eligible voters voted to remain in Germany and 54 to belong to Poland. Oschietzko remained with the German Empire . In 1925 the place had 208 inhabitants. In 1933 there were 152 inhabitants. On April 27, 1936, the place was renamed Lichtenrode . On April 1, 1939, Lichtenrode was incorporated into Freihöfen . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Rosenberg OS
In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was attached to the Silesian Voivodeship and renamed Osiecko . In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship and since 1999 it has belonged to the re-established Powiat Oleski . On October 23, 2007 , German was introduced as the second official language in the municipality of Zembowitz , which Oschietzko belongs to. On November 19, 2008, the place was also given the official German place name Oschietzko .
