Franck Jotterand

Franck Jotterand (born January 28, 1923 in Aubonne ; † September 13, 2000 in Bière ) was a French-speaking Swiss journalist and writer .

Life

Franck Jotterand studied humanities at the University of Lausanne . From 1949 he worked as a cultural correspondent for the Gazette de Lausanne in Paris , from 1952 to 1972 he was editor-in-chief of the Saturday supplement Gazette littéraire , as well as an employee of other newspapers and magazines, such as Weltwoche , Le Monde and Le Nouvel Observateur . From 1975 until his car accident in 1981 he headed the Center dramatique de Lausanne .

Jotterand wrote various essays , a play and a script for Alain Tanner .

In 1969, Jotterand uncovered the unnamed author of the French edition of the Civil Defense Book : it was Maurice Zermatten , then President of the Swiss Association of Writers (SSV). He organized the joint exit of 22 writers and the founding of the Olten group .

He was a member of the Société d'Étudiants de Belles-Lettres .
