Frank Boss (born March 13, 1961 in Rheydt ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2017 .

Life

Boss grew up in Giesenkirchen and completed an apprenticeship as a car mechanic and in IT administration after finishing school. He then worked for a long time as an employee at the Mönchengladbach municipal utility . Currently (as of 2020) he is the managing director of the CDU parliamentary group of the Rhineland Regional Assembly .

Frank Boss is married and has one daughter.

Boss joined the CDU in October 1982 and is deputy chairman of the CDU district association Mönchengladbach. Since 1994 he has been a councilor of the city of Mönchengladbach and a member of the Rhineland Regional Assembly.

In the state elections in 2017 , Boss was elected as a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. He won the direct mandate in constituency 49 (Mönchengladbach I) with 37.8% of the first votes . In the state parliament he is a member of the committee for homeland, communal affairs, building and housing, the interior committee and the electoral review committee.
