Frank Dahmke (born January 14, 1963 in Kiel , Germany ) is a former German handball player .

Frank Dahmke, who wore jersey number 7, played mostly in the left back space . In his youth he started playing handball at SV Mönkeberg in his hometown Mönkeberg . In 1981 he went to THW Kiel , for whom he scored a total of 463 Bundesliga goals in ten years, 40 of them by seven meters . For the German national team , Dahmke played six international matches in which he scored four goals. During his time in Kiel , he suffered a double torn Achilles tendon , which stressed him for a long time and ensured that he could no longer achieve the high level required for the THW. After his time in Kiel, he returned to SV Mönkeberg in 1991. There the real estate agent initially worked as a trainer and later as a team manager for the top division team. From 2014 to 2019 Dahmke was a member of the supervisory board of THW Kiel Handball-Bundesliga GmbH & Co. KG , the gaming company of THW Kiel.

His son Rune Dahmke also plays handball at THW Kiel.
