Frank Fuchs

Frank Fuchs (born March 16, 1964 in Vogtland ; † December 12, 2018 there ) was a German letterpress and offset printer and genealogist . He became known as the editor of the Mitteldeutsche Ortsfamilienbücher series .

Life

After attending school, Frank Fuchs learned the trade of letterpress and offset printer in letterpress and planographic printing and most recently worked as such at Westermann Druck GmbH in Zwickau . In addition, he completed training as a TA for meteorology. Frank Fuchs lived in the Limbach district of Lauschgrün .

Frank Fuchs became interested in family history at an early stage and after German reunification became a member of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Mitteldeutsche Familienforschung e. V. in Leipzig , of which he was a board member from 2008 until his death. In addition to being a genealogist, he was also a moderator of the mailing lists in Saxony , Thuringia and Vogtland . He was also the administrator of the cross-list forum Ahnensuche-Mitteldeutschland.

Frank Fuchs made particular merits by taking over the editing of the Mitteldeutsche Ortsfamilienbücher series of the Working Group for Central German Family Research. Volume 112 Irxleben was the last volume of the Central German local family books edited by him. He appeared shortly after the death of Frank Fuchs.

Fuchs was also a member of the Harley Club Green Hills Germany .
