Frank H. Witt

Frank H. Witt (born March 13, 1962 in Wuppertal ) is a German economist .

Life

He studied philosophy and economics at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal and received his doctorate in economics with the text Streit um die Moderne Betriebswirtschaftslehre , published in 1994 by Gabler Verlag Wiesbaden, series new business research under the title Theoretical Traditions of Business Research . At the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, he was a research assistant at the then Department of Economics (now Schumpeter School of Business) and, from 1999 to 2003, deputy chair for Internet economics and electronic markets. Previously, he was a Research Fellow at the Asian Technology Information Program and at the Research Center for Advanced Sciences at the University of Tokyo .

He then became the founding dean of Merkur International University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe in 2003 (now Karlshochschule International University ). After visiting professorships in Edmonton and San Diego , he was appointed to the German University in Cairo (GUC), where he taught international marketing and strategy from 2007 to 2009 and was MBA director. He later worked in Ethiopia as part of the German-Ethiopian University Capacity Building Program. In addition to a consulting mandate, Frank H. Witt took on the position of director of the Harold Pupkewitz Graduate School of Business in Windhoek , Namibia from 2012 to 2013 and has been professor at the GISMA Business School in Hanover since 2015 . He has been a partner in SCI Holding Ltd Science, Consulting & Investment SAR Hong Kong since 2007 and was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, which is active in international project management in Southeast Asia and Africa, from 2007 to 2015.

In addition, Frank H. Witt was, among other things, Managing Director for iMICS Consulting GmbH in Rheinbach near Bonn and Tokyo as well as deputy spokesman for the scientific advisory board of the Research & Analysis Center of Deutsche Telekom as well as in various advisory boards and commissions for technology assessment and employment (NRW) and federal level.
