Frank Heinrich
Frank Heinrich (born January 25, 1964 in Siegen ) is a German theologian , social worker and politician ( CDU ). Heinrich has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2009 .
Life
Frank Heinrich was born in Siegen. When he was three years old, his family moved to southern Germany, where their parents worked in a retirement home and later managed it. After community service, a year abroad as a theology student in Canada and studying social pedagogy, Heinrich became a member of the Salvation Army in Freiburg im Breisgau . Until 1995 he headed the social missionary service ( Die Insel und Die Spinnwebe ) in Freiburg as a social worker . In 1997 Heinrich was ordained as a Salvation Army officer. From 1997 until his candidacy for the Bundestag in 2009, he and his wife headed the Salvation Army Corps in Chemnitz .
Frank Heinrich has been married since 1987 and has four children.
politics
During his time as an officer in the Salvation Army, he was part of the ÖDP . In the federal election in 2002 Heinrich ran independently for the party of Christian faithful to the Bible , but without being a member himself. In 2007 Frank Heinrich joined the CDU . In the Bundestag elections in 2009, 2013 and 2017, he won the direct mandate for the Chemnitz constituency . Heinrich has been chairman of the CDU district association in Chemnitz since November 2009. In the Bundestag Heinrich is a member of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group , chairman of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group in the committee for human rights and humanitarian aid and a member of the committee for labor and social affairs . He is also a deputy member of the Committee for Economic Cooperation and Development , the Mediation Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee .
The focus of the political work of Frank Henry are his constituency Chemnitz (Structure and economic partnerships. A. With Africa, infrastructure, social / family / children's rights, science and research, promotions of federal, etc.), Africa , human trafficking , religious freedom and development cooperation on Eye level. In October 2010, Heinrich was one of the few Union politicians to vote against extending the service life of German nuclear power plants. Since summer 2012, Heinrich has been campaigning for tax equality within the framework of the Civil Partnership Act together with twelve other Union members of the Bundestag . In order to establish economic partnerships between Chemnitz and African countries, Heinrich initiated the network conference “Business meets Africa” in June 2014 together with the Chemnitz Chamber of Commerce and Industry , which has been taking place annually since then and has received great feedback.
