Frank Joseph Caggiano
Frank Joseph Caggiano (born March 29, 1959 in Brooklyn ) is Bishop of Bridgeport .
Life
He was ordained a priest on May 16, 1987 by the Bishop of Brooklyn , Francis J. Mugavero .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 6, 2006 auxiliary bishop in Brooklyn and titular bishop of Inis Cathaig . The Bishop of Brooklyn, Nicholas Anthony DiMarzio , ordained him episcopally on August 22 of that year ; Co-consecrators were Thomas Vose Daily , Former Bishop of Brooklyn, and Ignatius Anthony Catanello , Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn. As a motto he chose Dominus Jesus Christ .
On July 31, 2013, Pope Francis appointed Caggiano Bishop of Bridgeport. He was inducted into office on September 19 of the same year.
