Frank Joseph Dewane (born March 9, 1950 in Green Bay , Wisconsin , USA ) is Bishop of Venice .
Life
Frank Joseph Dewane received the sacrament of ordination for the Diocese of Green Bay on July 16, 1988 .
On April 25, 2006 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to Coadjutor Bishop of Venice. The Bishop of Venice, John Joseph Nevins , ordained him episcopal on July 25 of that year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Miami , John Favalora , and the Archbishop of Dublin , Diarmuid Martin . Frank Joseph Dewane became Bishop of Venice on January 19, 2007, succeeding John Joseph Nevins, who retired on grounds of age.
