Frank Klose
Frank Klose (born October 12, 1958 in Osterode am Harz ; † May 20, 2015 ) was a German travel and motorcycle journalist and non-fiction author.
Life
Frank Klose grew up in the Harz Mountains and has dedicated himself to geology since his youth . The resulting career desire to become a geologist did not seem sensible to him because of the discontinuation of the Harz mining industry. His geological activity was limited to writing the West Harz Minerals Guide (1983) and the East Harz Minerals Guide (1990). At this time he also changed his profession and worked for the special interest magazine Bike . In addition, seven mountain bike guides were created during this time , which were published by Delius Klasing Verlag , Bielefeld, as part of the Bike Tours series.
Since 1997, Klose has devoted himself more and more to the motorcycle genre and created travel reports and tour descriptions. In addition, photography came more and more .
He wrote a total of 37 travel and tour books. Klose was the publisher and editor-in-chief of the motorcycle travel magazine Motorrad & Reisen .
Frank Klose died on May 20, 2015 at the age of 56.
