Frank Rüttger

Frank Rüttger (born October 13, 1971 in Grünstadt ) is a German politician ( CDU ). Since 2018 he has been the mayor of the community of Leiningerland ( Rhineland-Palatinate ), which has a population of around 30,000.

Rüttger was born in Grünstadt and grew up in Neuleiningen , where he still lives today. He is married and has two children. His father Helmut was also politically active and from 1980 to 2008 mayor of the Hettenleidelheim community .

education

After graduating from high school in 1991 at Weierhof , Rüttger completed an apprenticeship with the Freinsheim community . He graduated from the Rhineland-Palatinate University of Public Administration in Mayen with a degree in administrative management . This was followed by part-time studies at the Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences , which he completed in 1999 as an administrative manager (VWA). In 2013, the promotion qualification for entry into the higher service (A 14) took place.

Career

From 1994 to 2001, Rüttger worked for the Freinsheim Association , initially in the finance department and from December 1998 as deputy head of department. In 2001, he moved to Deidesheim as a deputy office manager , where he was the managing civil servant from 2002 to 2008.

From 2008 he worked at the Bad Dürkheim district administration as head of Department 5, Building and Environment. His areas of responsibility were the lower building supervisory authority, lower immission control, waste, water, soil and nature conservation authority as well as the district's own construction. In 2013 he became a full-time alderman of the Bad Dürkheim district with the division 3, order and traffic, as well as division 5, building and environment.

Since January 1, 2018, Rüttger has been the mayor of the then newly formed community of Leiningerland. In a runoff election on May 21, 2017, he prevailed against Reinhold Niederhöfer (SPD) with 52.3% of the vote .
