The Verbandsgemeinde Hettenleidelheim was an administrative unit in the legal form of a regional body in the Bad Dürkheim district in Rhineland-Palatinate . The Verbandsgemeinde belonged to five independent local communities , the administrative seat was in the eponymous community Hettenleidelheim .
On January 1, 2018, the Hettenleidelheim association was dissolved and the associated communities were assigned to the new Leiningerland association.

history
The community of Hettenleidelheim was re-established in 1972, like all community communities in the then administrative district of Rheinhessen-Pfalz , on the basis of the “Thirteenth State Law on Administrative Simplification in the State of Rhineland-Palatinate”. Until then, the administrative structures originating from the Palatinate (Bavaria) (1816-1946) existed.

The Hettenleidelheim municipal council consisted of 28 honorary council members who were elected in a personalized proportional representation in the local elections on May 25, 2014 , and the full-time mayor as chairman.

The blazon of the coat of arms reads: “In a golden shield border, quartered by a continuous silver cross, at the top right in blue a red armored silver eagle, at the top left in red five floating golden Greek crosses 2: 1: 2, at the bottom right in black sprinkled with gold crosses Field a slanting silver key, with the beard turned downwards, at the bottom left in black a growing, red-armored and tongued golden lion. The coat of arms was approved by the district government in Neustadt in 1985 . The eagle and the cross stand for the Leininger , the key for the Hochstift Worms and the lion for the Electoral Palatinate . The communities were under their rule until the French Revolution.
