Frank Schmitter

Frank Schmitter (born July 27, 1957 in Krefeld ) is a German author .

life and work

Frank Schmitter grew up in Krefeld. After graduating from high school, he began studying German , which he finished without a degree. He then did his community service and worked in various jobs. From 1983 to 1986 he studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Libraries in Stuttgart and thus became a qualified librarian .

Since 1991 he has lived in Ismaning near Munich . For a long time he worked as a documentary and media editor for a media group. Since 2005 he has been working for the Monacensia of the City of Munich in the care of the literature archive.

Frank Schmitter has published poetry and short prose in anthologies and magazines since 1999 (including concepts , drafts , no one , Der Dreischneuss ). At times he moderated a literary program on LORA Munich called Guaranteed rhyming free . He was a founding member of the Reimfrei author group , which he still belongs to today.
