Fantasy

Although his fantasy novels Grendl (2007) and Gott (2009) are often compared to Terry Pratchett , Douglas Adams or Robert Asprin due to the absurd humor , Frank Schweizer consistently pursues his own style . Between "philosophical comedy " and " road movie like " " Fantasy - Satire " his works take religion and society targeted.

Philosophical writings

In Wie Philosophen Die (2003), Schweizer poses the question of the seriousness of philosophy . In it he collects the death scenes of all influential philosophers and contrasts them with the claims of their own philosophy.

In the book The Meaning Industry - An Introduction to the Bad Habits of German Studies , published in 2009, Schweizer deals with German studies . For more than a hundred years she has stuck to the interpretation method without having critically examined her own spiritual foundations. Schweizer regards literary studies such as formalism , structuralism or deconstructivism as attempts to save interpretation. German studies cannot state the truth criteria of its results, which is why it does not provide any generally applicable knowledge. Instead, academic authority replaces verifiability. He denies the scientific nature of German studies.
