Frank Wiesner

Frank Wiesner (born September 20, 1967 in Lübeck ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 2011 to 2015 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1987 at Heisenberg-Gymnasium in Hamburg-Eißendorf , he began studying civil engineering at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences , which he graduated with a diploma in 1997 . From 1989 to 1995 he was a student assistant at the local transport study company and from 1995 to 1997 a student assistant at the Dipl.-Ing. Gerd Köser. After completing his studies, he worked from 1997 to 2006 as a freelance traffic planner and since 2006 as an employed traffic planner for the North-East Lower Saxony transport company .

politics

Wiesner joined the SPD in 1990 . From 1993 to 2011 he was a member of the Harburg district assembly, where he was most recently deputy parliamentary group chairman.

In the 2011 mayor elections, he was elected to the Hamburg citizenry at number 24 on the state list . He was a member of the Transport Committee, the Submission Committee and the Elbphilharmonie Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry . At the constituent meeting of the citizenship on March 7, 2011, he was absent because he missed a flight from Togo . The SPD parliamentary group thus only had 61 votes, exactly as many as were required for an absolute majority. Olaf Scholz was nevertheless elected First Mayor with 62 votes.

In the 2015 state elections, he ran for 24th place on the state list, but missed re-entry into the Hamburg citizenship. Since 2019 he has been a member of the Harburg District Assembly again.
