Franklyn Ajaye
Franklyn Ajaye , also Franklin Ajaye , (born May 13, 1949 in Brooklyn , New York City , NY ) is an American actor and stand-up comedian .
Life
Ajaye grew up in Los Angeles . He later called himself Franklin Ajaye. His nickname is The Jazz Comedian , as he used to play jazz on his program. His father is African and his mother is from Florida .
He recorded several albums as a comedian: Franklyn Ajaye, Comedian (1973), I'm a Comedian, Seriously (1974) ( A&M Records ), Don't Smoke Dope, Fry Your Hair (1977), Plaid Pants and Psychopaths (1986 ) and Vagabond Jazz & the Abstract Truth (2004). He also appeared in a number of films, including Convoy and Car Wash . Ajaye appeared at the Tonight Show five times between 1974 and 1990.
