Franz-Friedrich Prince of Prussia (born October 17, 1944 in Grünberg , Lower Silesia Province ) is a German entrepreneur.

Life

Franz-Friedrich is the son of Karl Franz Joseph Prince of Prussia (1916–1975) and his first wife Henriette born. Princess von Schoenaich-Carolath (1918–1972). The marriage ended in divorce in 1946. Like his brother Franz Wilhelm Prince of Prussia , Franz-Friedrich is the grandson of Prince Joachim and thus great-grandson of the last German Emperor Wilhelm II. The paternal grandmother and the father of Eduard Prinz von Anhalt are siblings. In December 1945 he was born to his grandmother. Princess Hermine Reuss brought older line to Frankfurt (Oder) . The widow of Kaiser Wilhelm, his father's mother-in-law, was arrested there by Marshal Schukow in a house in Paulinenhof. When she died in August 1947 and was buried in the Temple of Antiquities , three-year-old Franz-Friedrich was the only Hohenzoller present. In 1954 he came to the widow of Prince Hubertus of Prussia , who was staying with the princes Ysenburg-Büdingen . He went to school in Büdingen and Gut Hemmelmark . From 1964 to 1967 he did a banking apprenticeship in Wiesbaden . He then lived as a real estate dealer in Hamburg for 15 years . After the German unification he moved to Potsdam . In Bonn he founded the Prinz von Preussen Grundbesitz AG with two partners . It mediates high-quality real estate and is dedicated to the renovation of historic and listed building complexes. These include the southern Speicherstadt Potsdam and the former KGB headquarters in the Kaiserin-Augusta-Stift (Potsdam) . With his wife, he has taken on 250 sponsorships in the Berlin / Brandenburg Social Aid . He is deputy chairman of the Association for the Care of Silesian Art and Culture (VSK). The association received the Silesian Culture Prize of the State of Lower Saxony in 2019 .
