Franz Barth (born May 11, 1886 in Groitzsch , † April 13, 1951 in Bremen ) was a German politician (NSDAP).

Live and act

After attending elementary school and the academy for graphic arts in Leipzig and Munich , Barth earned his living as a graphic artist and owner of a graphic arts institute in Leipzig. From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War with the 105 Infantry Regiment . During the war he was promoted to sergeant with the Iron Cross II. Class, the Friedrich-August medal in silver, the Saxon Cross of Honor, the Military Cross and the Austrian and Hungarian war medal.

On August 2, 1930, he joined the National Socialist Motor Corps (NSKK) (membership number 7). On February 1, 1931, membership in the NSDAP followed . On November 9, 1937, he was promoted to NSKK Oberführer and on December 1, 1937, he was entrusted with the management of the Thuringia Motor Group. On April 20, 1940 he was appointed NSKK group leader .

From May 1938 until the end of the Nazi regime in the spring of 1945, Barth sat as a member of the National Socialist Reichstag , in which he represented constituency 12 (Thuringia).

From January 30, 1942 to April 12, 1945, Barth held the title of "State Councilor" of the Thuringian state government.
