Franz Binder (politician, 1881)

Franz Binder (born September 6, 1881 in Rechnitz , † April 19, 1944 in Vienna ) was an Austrian police officer and politician ( CS ). Franz Binder was a member of the Burgenland State Parliament and a member of the Federal Council .

Life

Binder was born as the son of the farmer Franz Binder from Rechnitz. He attended elementary school, then worked as a bricklayer and completed his military service in Ödenburg in the artillery, where he became a sergeant . Then Binder entered the service of the Burggendarmerie in Vienna and was subsequently a police officer in the state police. Binder served in the State Police until April 30, 1937, when he retired. Binder held the official title “Real Councilor”.

After 1935, Binder became deputy to the state fire brigade commander in Burgenland and as such was responsible for training the Burgenland fire brigades. Binder was married.

politics

Between 1921 and 1922 he was a member of the administrative office for Burgenland for the purpose of taking the Burgenland land and from 1921 to 1934 a member of the state party leadership of the Christian Social Party in Burgenland. Between 1927 and 1930 Binder was also the national leader of the Heimwehr . Between July 17, 1922 and October 1, 1930, he was a member of the Burgenland State Parliament and on May 20, 1931, he replaced Johann Wagner in the State Parliament, to which he was a member until May 2, 1934. In addition, Binder was a member of the Federal Council from December 20, 1930 to June 9, 1931.

From July 13, 1922 to October 1, 1930 and from May 20, 1931 to May 2, 1934 he was a member of the National Council .
