Franz Bresgen

Franz Joseph Herbert Bresgen (born October 2, 1815 in Münstereifel , † May 31, 1895 in Bad Neuenahr ) was a German winemaker and politician .

Bresgen studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn between 1834 and 1837 . He then worked as a regional court trainee in Cologne . After all, he worked as a winery and tannery owner in Lantershofen near Ahrweiler .

Bresgen was from May 18, 1848 to May 30, 1849 a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly for the 9th constituency of Rhineland in Mayen . He was a member of the Württemberger Hof parliamentary group . From 1862 to 1867 he sat for the German Progressive Party in the House of Representatives of the Prussian state parliament .
