Franz Egon von Boch-Galhau

Franz Egon Luitwin Maria René von Boch-Galhau (born June 5, 1909 in Mettlach , Merzig-Wadern district , Saarland ; † September 4, 1981 at Gut Britten near Losheim am See , Merzig-Wadern district, Saarland) was a German entrepreneur , partner of the family company Villeroy & Boch AG in the 7th generation, as well as landowners of the Linslerhof , Britten and Hausbach estates .

Boch came from an old merchant family from Deutsch-Oth in Lorraine and was the only son of the general director and multiple landowner Dr. sc. pol. Roger von Boch-Galhau (1873–1917) and Maria Freiin von Fürstenberg (1880–1962). He had two sisters:

  • Renata (1907–1963) °° 1931 Baron Karl Friedrich von Schönberg (1903–1975)
  • Monika (* 1915)

He married on December 29, 1934 in Bad Godesberg Agnes Countess of Montgelas (born June 13, 1914 in Weil near Stuttgart ), the daughter of the royal Württemberg chamberlain and head stable master and lieutenant colonel Hugo Graf von Montgelas (1866-1916) and the Helene Freiin von Schorlemer (1882-1938). The couple had seven children:
