Franz Eichberger (athlete)

Franz Eichberger (born March 26, 1913 in Wieselburg-Hungarian Altenburg ; † December 31, 2004 ) was an Austrian middle-distance runner .

At the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 he reached the semi-finals over 800 m and was eliminated over 1500 m in the preliminary run.

Four times he was Austrian champion over 800 m (1935-1937, 1939) and once over 1500 m (1936).
