Franz Fassmann

Johann Franz Faßmann (also Franz Fasmann , Czech Jan František Fassmann ; baptized as Johannes Franciscus on June 21, 1697 in Elbogen , Czech Loket , Bohemia ; † after 1760 ) was a Bohemian organ builder .

Live and act

Franz Faßmann was born as the son of the shoemaker Christoph Faßmann and his wife Sabina in the town of Elbogen in the west Bohemian Egerland . He created organs in monastery and pilgrimage churches in Bohemia and the Upper Palatinate , of which the one in the Trinity Church in Kappl is still preserved. In 1760 he was last mentioned as alive.
