Franz Fabian

Franz Fabian (born April 1, 1926 in Wilden ; † July 31, 1986 in Ronneburg ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a former member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After elementary school, which he completed with secondary school leaving certificate, Franz Fabian did labor and military service and was wounded. After the war he worked in agriculture and a chemical company and then studied at the Dortmund Social Academy .

Union member since 1946, honorary functions. After completing his studies, he was a full-time employee at the Chemical, Paper, Ceramics IG . At the union he was youth secretary for North Rhine-Westphalia, union secretary in Düsseldorf, managing director in Wuppertal, branch manager, wage secretary for the glass industry in Germany. Since May 1, 1963, he was district manager of the chemical, paper and ceramic union in Hesse.

Franz Fabian had been a member of the SPD since 1949, where he held various board positions. He was chairman of the local SPD association Hüttengesäß / Neuwiedermuß. In local politics he had been a member of the Hanau district council since 1968 . From December 1, 1970 to September 18, 1974 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament. In the state parliament he was chairman of the committee for environmental issues.
