Franz Fister

Franz Fister (born July 15, 1886 in Eisendorf ; † November 18, 1971 ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and former member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After attending elementary school, Franz Fister trained as a carpenter and worked as a carpenter's assistant in Austria and Germany. After attending training courses in the labor administration, he was head of the Tetschen district labor office from 1918 . In 1938 he was released and arrested by the SS. From 1941 to 1945 he worked as a laborer. From May 1945 he worked again as head of the labor exchange. After 1945 he was arrested twice by the Czech authorities and came to Wabern (Fritzlar-Homberg district) after his expulsion in 1946 .

politics

Franz Fister had been a member of the SPD since 1902 and was the first district chairman of his party for fifteen years. After the expulsion he worked again for the SPD in Wabern from 1946 and was a member of the State Refugee Council. In terms of local politics, he was a member of the municipal council in Wabern and the Fritzlar-Homberg district council. From January 23, 1951 (as a replacement for Fritz Precht ) to November 30, 1954, he was a member of the Hessian state parliament and in 1954 a member of the 2nd Federal Assembly .

Other offices

Franz Fister was the founder and board member of the Association of Woodworkers, the Association of Public Employees and the Workers' Child Friends Movement in Bohemia. He held numerous other honorary positions in the Tetschen district.
