Fritz Precht

Michael Fritz Precht (born January 2, 1883 in Lindau (Lake Constance) ; † January 9, 1951 in Kassel ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Fritz Precht did an apprenticeship as a precision mechanic after primary and secondary school. He then worked as a mechanic and foreman in various companies in the precision engineering industry in Germany. In 1912 he became managing director of the metal workers 'association and workers' secretary in Göttingen . From 1918 he worked in the local administration in the Kassel district , where he was most recently an accountant. After the seizure of power by the Nazis, he was released in 1933 without pension and was unemployed until 1938th From March 1933 to September 1933 he was in the Breitenau concentration camp . Due to the following residence restriction, he had to move to Lindau (Lake Constance) and started working as a mechanic there again in January 1938. After the Second World War in 1945, he was office director and district administrator of the Kassel district.

Fritz Precht joined the German Metalworkers' Association in 1902 and the SPD in 1908. In the Weimar Republic he was a member of the district council or district committee Kassel-Land until he lost his political functions when he came to power. In the mid-twenties he was a member of the Hessian municipal council .

From July 15, 1946 to November 30, 1946, Fritz Precht was a member of the state assembly of Greater Hesse, which advised the constitution, and from December 1, 1946 until his death, a member of the Hessian state parliament. His successor in the state parliament was Franz Fister . In 1949 he was a member of the 1st Federal Assembly .
