Franz Gruber (politician, 1900)

Franz Gruber (born August 30, 1900 in Eppertshausen ; † November 5, 1957 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending primary school and trade school, Gruber completed an apprenticeship as a mechanic. He then worked in this profession and later continued his education at the REFA engineering school. After the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists, he was placed under police supervision. From 1945 he was head of the district treasury.

Political party

Gruber had been a member of the SPD since 1920.

MP

Gruber was from 1927 to 1933 council member of the Eppertshausen community . He belonged to the Hessian state parliament for almost two legislative periods from January 3, 1951, when he replaced the resigned MP Heinrich Ritzel , until his death.

Public offices

After the end of the Second World War , Gruber was mayor of the Eppertshausen municipality in 1945 and served as district administrator for the Dieburg district from 1951 to 1957 .
