Franz Heinrich Gref

Franz Heinrich Gref (born December 14, 1872 in Stühlingen , Baden, † September 17, 1957 in Weilimdorf ) was a German painter.

Gref studied at the Academy in Munich with Christian Adam Landenberger and Moritz Weinholdt , at the Karlsruhe School of Applied Arts with Ludwig Schmidt-Reutte and at the Stuttgart Academy with Leopold von Kalckreuth and Robert von Haug .

In collaboration with the architect Theodor Fischer, they were created for the church in Eglosheim and the Erlöserkirche in Stuttgart . He created murals for the churches in Neuneck and Winnenden , the garrison church in Ulm , the market hall in Stuttgart and the secondary schools in Kirchheim / Teck and Tübingen .
