Franz Josef Dazert
Franz Josef Dazert (born January 26, 1925 in Irlich , Neuwied district ) is a former German industrial manager.
Life
Franz Josef Dazert, son of a retailer from the Lower Rhine region, was obliged to do military service at the age of 18. In 1945 he returned from captivity and began a traineeship with Wilhelm Jaeniche in Leusheim and Hilgers AG in Rheinbrohl in September 1945. From 1946 to 1949 he studied economics at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . In 1950 he was with the work of economic policy demands German agricultural interest groups in 1918 and in 1932 and its consequences for the economic system in Freiburg to Dr. rer. pole. PhD.
Dazert initially worked as a management consultant. In 1958, Georg Fürst von Waldburg zu Zeil und Trauchburg brought him to his family business as a general representative. In 1969 he became a board member at Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF) in Geislingen; In 1970 he succeeded Arthur Burkhardt as spokesman for the WMF board.
From 1974 to 1989 Dazert was head of the executive board, then head of the supervisory board of Salamander and from 2001 honorary chairman of the supervisory board of Salamander in the Swabian town of Kornwestheim .
After leaving the Allgäuer Zeitungsverlag as a partner in 2002, he and his wife Gisela Dazert, a dentist who was Dr. Dazert Foundation based in Kempten. He holds numerous honorary posts, such as the honorary chairmanship of the Association of Friends of the Benedictine Abbey Ottobeuren eV or as an honorary cultural ambassador of the EUREGIO VIA SALINA.
Franz Josef Dazert is committed to Catholic social teaching .
In 1963 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Eugène Tisserant and invested in Cologne Cathedral on December 7, 1963 by Lorenz Cardinal Jaeger , Grand Prior of the Order.
