Franz Kaspar von Schmid

Franz Kaspar von Schmid , from 1688 Baron von Haslbach and Piernbach , (* 1658 ; † 1721 ) participated in the survey as the caretaker of Aibling during the Bavarian popular uprising of 1705 .

family

His father Kaspar Schmid (1622-1693), Lord on Haslbach and Pirnbach, was on 11 March 1688, electoral Bavarian Privy Council Chancellor fief - Provost and carers of trout in the electoral Bavarian baron charged. The Aibling foster family remained in the family until 1800.

Life

In the court districts east of Tölz , the head clerk of the Tölz court, Johann Adam Prindl, distributed the Tölz patent on December 20, 1705 . In Aibling, the nurse Franz Kaspar Freiherr von Schmidt immediately declared himself ready to issue a general contingent in support of the uprising. He wanted to lead the team of his court himself into battle. With more than 900 men, he brought the strongest contingent in the Oberland to its feet. After the uprising was put down, he was imprisoned in Ingolstadt from 1706 to December 1708. With the return of Elector Max Emanuel in 1715 he was able to take over his offices in the court council, in the revision council and in the care of Aibling again.

Schmid wrote the work " Mundus Christiano Bavaro Politicus " in 1711 , in which he dealt critically in four tracts with the prince, the leading minister, the general and the envoy.
