Franz Kesting

Franz Kesting (born March 30, 1872 in Belecke / Westphalia , † December 31, 1948 in Lippstadt / Westphalia) was a German writer .

Life

Franz Kesting was the son of a forester . After the early death of his father, Franz Kesting completed the teachers' seminar in Büren, Westphalia . From 1892 until his retirement in 1934 he worked as a primary school teacher in Lippstadt . In addition, in 1908 he was involved in the establishment of an auxiliary school and in the development of the Lippstadt vocational school system: On his initiative, a commercial advanced training school was established in 1911 and a commercial school in 1919 , both of which Kesting ran as part-time.

Franz Kesting wrote an extensive literary work in addition to his teaching activities. It consists of narratives that mainly deal with subjects from nature and hunting and mostly appeared first in magazines , poems and a play . He also wrote regional historical treatises.
