Franz Klinghardt

Franz Kaspar Ludwig Klinghardt (born November 24, 1882 in Dresden ; † May 13, 1956 in Berlin ) was a German geologist , paleontologist and prehistoric scientist .

Franz Klinghardt completed his habilitation in 1914 at the University of Greifswald . In 1921 he became an associate professor for prehistory in Greifswald . In 1928 he left Greifswald.

In 1930 he became director of the Museum für Naturkunde in Berlin. Klinghardt dealt with extinct mollusks . The Klinghardt collection of the Natural History Museum includes rudists from the Upper Cretaceous .
