Franz Ludwig Meyr

Franz Ludwig Meyr (born April 11, 1826 in Waldkirch ; † August 22, 1907 in Sirnach ) was a court judge and member of the Reichstag of the German Empire .

Life

Schulz studied law in Freiburg and then worked as a bailiff in Villingen and Jestetten . Later he was court judge at the court in Constance. In 1880 he left the court. He had represented the Catholic Church in the Kulturkampf and incurred the wrath of the Baden Interior Minister Julius Jolly . He later lived in Freiburg, Munich and Sirnach in Switzerland.

From 1862 to 1865 and from 1879 to 1887 he was a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly . On January 26, 1880, as a candidate for the Center Party, he won a replacement election in the Reichstag constituency of Baden 7 ( Offenburg , Kehl ) and was a member of the Reichstag until the end of the legislative period in 1881.
