Franz Mandl (politician)

Franz Mandl (born June 10, 1958 ) is an Austrian politician ( FPK , formerly FPÖ or BZÖ ). From 2008 to 2013 he was a member of the Carinthian state parliament .

education and profession

Franz Mandl completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter at the Müller company in Weissensee between July 1973 and July 1976 and passed the journeyman's examination. He then worked as a journeyman until March 1977 and then moved to IL-Bau in Innsbruck until the end of 1977 . Mandl did military service between January and June 1978 and then worked in Innsbruck until September. He then returned to his teaching company, where he worked until April 1979. He then worked from June 1979 to November 1993 at Heilt & Nörner in Munich . Mandl has been an independent entrepreneur since 1994 and runs a tourism business with holiday apartments.

Franz Mandl moved to the Carinthian state parliament on July 3, 2008 after Helga Knicek withdrew . As area spokesman, he took over the fields of youth and sport. Mandl had been the mayor of Greifenburg since 2003 . In the mayoral election held at the same time as the municipal council election on March 1, 2015, he was defeated by the opposing candidate Josef Brandner with a percentage ratio of 46.61 to 53.39 (see also Elected Mayors in Carinthia 2015 ).

Private

Mandl is married and has a son and a daughter. He lives in Greifenburg .
