biography
Franz Patzak came from an East Bohemian family of sculptors. He was a student of the sculptor Matthias Bernhard Braun . After his father Georg Patzak moved to Mährisch Trübau , who married the painter Christian David's widow there, Franz took over his workshop in Leitomischl , in which he had already worked. He created some of his works in the late baroque style. One of his students was Dominik Auliczek , who later worked for the Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory . On November 24, 1750, Franz Patzak married Sofie Auliczek, Dominik Auliczek's older sister, in Politschka .
