Franz Riscop

Franz Riscop (born December 5, 1933 in Königswinter ; † August 5, 2016 there ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and from 1980 to 2000 a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life and work

After attending elementary school , Riscop completed an apprenticeship as a typesetter and passed the master craftsman's examination in this profession in 1962 . He worked in his parents' business and later became a shareholder in the company. In January 2000 he became managing director of the economic development and housing construction company of the city of Königswinter.

Riscop had been a member of the CDU since 1957. He was active in numerous party bodies.

From May 29, 1980 to June 1, 2000 Riscop was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was directly elected four times in a row in his constituency : 1980 , 1985 and 1995 in constituency 28 ( Rhein-Sieg-Kreis II ), in 1990 in constituency 28 (Rhein-Sieg-Kreis II - Bonn I).

From 1961 to 1969 he was a council member of the Niederdollendorf community and from 1964 to 1969 mayor there . He was a member of the City Council of Königswinter from 1969 to 1999, and from 1971 to 1999 as chairman of the CDU parliamentary group .
