Franz Sichler

Franz Sichler (born March 20, 1909 in Schwandorf ; † November 6, 1985 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

After an apprenticeship as a miller, Sichler was employed as a head miller until he was a soldier in World War II from 1939 to 1945 . In the fighting for Stalingrad he was seriously wounded.

In 1923 Sichler became a member of the Socialist Workers' Youth , in 1927 of the SPD. In 1945 he became mayor of Schwandorf . He was a member of the Schwandorf City Council and a member of the Burglengenfeld district council as well as SPD party secretary in Regensburg . From 1946 to 1947 and from 1950 to 1970 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . In 1950 he was directly elected in the district of Burglengenfeld, Schwandorf-Stadt, Roding , otherwise he moved in via the list in the constituency of Upper Palatinate .

Sichler had been awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit since June 23, 1962 .
