Franz Stesgal

Franz Stesgal (born October 2, 1875 in Altschlaining , † February 13, 1954 in Vienna ) was an Austrian state official and politician ( CS ). Stesgal was a member of the Burgenland state parliament and regional councilor in the Burgenland state government.

Stesgal was born as the son of the community official in Weiden and Schlaining Franz Stesgal. He attended elementary and secondary school in Graz, but did not graduate. Stesgal studied theology for two years and worked as a businessman. He did his military service as a teacher in the voluntary school in Sopron and from 1914 to 1918 he was court designer in Archduke Friedrich's office. In 1919, after the First World War, Stesgal was a concept official in the German West Hungary Governorate and in 1922 a member of the administrative office for Burgenland as well as a member of the administrative office's standing committee of three . Stesgal subsequently took over the position of district administrator in Bad Sauerbrunn and was appointed government councilor in 1922 and court councilor in 1925. Stesgal retired on March 15, 1925.

In addition to his civil service career, Stesgal was also politically active. He was a member of the Burgenland Landtag between July 15, 1922 and November 9, 1925 and was a member of the Burgenland Provincial Government from July 19, 1922 to April 29, 1925.
