Franz Theodor Wangenheim (also: Franz Theodor Wangenreim ) (pseudonym: Albert Adolf Zeune ) (born March 7, 1805 in Pattensen near Hanover ; † October 4, 1848 ) was a German writer.

Life

Franz Theodor Wangenheim was the son of the Jew Israel Kohn Wangenreim. He was baptized under the name Wangenheim in Hameln , probably around 1827, and accepted the Christian faith. In 1830 he married Dorothea Grodrian († 1833) in Braunschweig , and they had a son, Albert Adolf Franz Wangenheim, who was probably born in Munich . On July 17, 1843, he married Karoline Günther from Pattensen for the second time in Zwickau . This is said to have taken place shortly after his discharge from the labor institution, where he spent two years. At the beginning of February 1848 he was arrested because he had traveled to Leipzig against a pronounced ban and appeared there under his pseudonym. On February 19, 1848 he was sentenced to fourteen days in prison and on March 8 he was taken by train from Leipzig via Magdeburg to Hamburg .

Presumably he lived in Hamburg since 1838 and spent the last days of his life in Altona . He made a living from writing and wrote historical novels. In 1848 he died of cholera .
