Franz Wüerst

Franz Richard Alexander Wüerst (born December 20, 1854 in Berlin ; † January 30, 1915 there ) was a German civil engineer , secret senior building officer and lecturer in the Reichsmarineamt .

Franz Wüerst was a son of the composer and composition teacher Richard Ferdinand Wüerst and his wife, the concert singer Franziska, geb. Weimann . His marriage to Betty Elise Margarethe Haase in Graudenz on April 7, 1895 resulted in two sons, including Major General Erich Wüerst .

Career

After various activities as a government master builder, Wüerst was released from civil service in 1893 at his own request. In the service of the Reichsmarineamt he supervised the port construction in Wilhelmshaven in various leading positions . In 1903 he was transferred to the Reichsmarineamt in Berlin as a secret building officer and lecturer. Five years later he was promoted to the rank of Second Class Councilor to the Privy Building Councilor.
