Franz Weber (politician, 1850)
Franz Weber (born September 27, 1850 in Freiburg ; † July 13, 1916 in Achern ) was Lord Mayor of Konstanz from 1888 to 1914 .
Life
The son of a court judge attended high school in Freiburg. In 1873 he became a legal intern and in 1876 a trainee lawyer. From 1879 to 1883 Franz Weber was a clerk at the Mannheim District Office and from 1883 to 1884 at the Heidelberg District Office . In 1884 he became senior official and board member at the Schönau district office and in 1887 at the Donaueschingen district office . When the Lord Mayor of Constance Otto Winterer became Lord Mayor of Freiburg im Breisgau in 1888 , the Constance Citizens' Committee elected him on August 7, 1888 as his successor. Franz Weber was re-elected in 1897 and 1906. From 1889 to 1890 Weber was also a member of the second chamber of the Baden state parliament .
During the grand ducal era of the empire, "Groß-Konstanz" emerged as a residential city.
