Franz Wieser (politician, 1941)

Franz Wieser (born September 23, 1941 in Heilbronn ) is a German CDU politician .

Career

Wieser comes from a family of craftsmen. After elementary school, he completed an apprenticeship as a machine fitter. Studied at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences and then worked in industry as a locksmith and industrial engineer. This was followed by a university degree in economics and political science. From 1985 to 2002 he taught at the vocational schools in Bretten , most recently with the rank of senior studies director.

In the state elections in 1988 he won the first mandate in the constituency of Bretten and moved to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg for the first time . In the state elections in 1992, 1996 and 2001 he was able to defend his first mandate. In 2006 he no longer ran.

The political focus of his work was education and development policy. He was chairman of the social committee of the state parliament and education policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group. As a representative of the state parliament, he was a member of the broadcasting council of Südwestrundfunk .

He was also a local councilor and deputy mayor in Ötigheim , district chairman of the Christian Democratic Workers' Union (CDA) in North Baden and a member of the executive board of the CDA.
