Franz Xaver Kirschner

Franz Xaver Kirschner (born August 19, 1953 in Hirschbach ) is a Bavarian politician of the FDP .

Personal and professional

Kirschner learned the profession of butcher and worked in his parents' business (agriculture, restaurant, butchery and cattle trade). He then attended the Passau-Grubweg vocational school and the Pfarrkirchen technical college. In 1975 he made his master butcher and then studied business administration and law in Munich from 1975 to 1982. During this time he also completed training as a tax advisor . In 1983 he settled in Pocking as an independent tax consultant . In 1987 he graduated as an auditor . In 1987 he received his doctorate from the Budapest University of Economics .

Kirschner founded an investment company in 2014.

He was married twice and has four daughters from them.

politics

In 2007 he joined the Bavarian FDP . In the state elections on September 28, 2008, he ran unsuccessfully in the constituency of Passau-Ost , but entered the Bavarian state parliament via the party list in the constituency of Lower Bavaria . There he was a member of the Committee on Economy, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology and the commission for parliamentary support in crisis management at BayernLB .

In January 2012 he resigned his mandate a. a. in protest against the FDP's approach to the euro rescue package, but also because of health problems and the excessive workload. Dietrich von Gumppenberg replaced him in the state parliament on February 1, 2012.

In 2013 Kirschner published the book "Schlachtplatte politics: Unsavory experiences of an ex-parliamentarian".
